Applied Behavior Analaysis (ABA) in an academic setting.

About School-Based ABA

ABA Programs In A School Setting

ABA therapy can be provided in the school setting. During our time in the classroom, the main goals involve increasing or improving those skills that will facilitate learning. We also want to ensure learning can occur in the school setting.

Some of the goals we can achieve in the academic environment include: increasing on-task behaviors, improve social interaction, increasing communication skills with peers and teachers, and reducing problem behaviors.

Call us to discuss how an ABA program will benefit your family. Start by speaking with our Care Coordinator today!

While providing in school ABA our team may include the following assessments & interventions:

Consultation For Educators:

We provide behavior training and consultation to educators regarding specific behaviors, including functional analysis, observations, and development of treatment plan or intervention to aid a specific individual or group.

Functional Behavior Assessment

This is an approach that helps figuring out the reason or purpose why an individual engages in a specific behavior. By identifying the purpose of a person’s behavior, we can create an intervention plan to teach alternative skills & behaviors.

Behavior Support Planning

This involves creating a plan that can assist in building positive behaviors to replace or reduce problem or challenging behaviors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ABA only for children? Do you have an age limit for services?

We do not have an age limit. We have experience working with children, adolescents and adults. While it is recommended to start ABA Therapy at an early age, ABA apply to people of all ages. This is the main reason why we do not have age limitations for patients.

Is an Autism Diagnosis required to get ABA Therapy?

Clients are not required to have a specific diagnosis to receive treatment. Most insurance companies do require an Autism diagnosis to cover services. We also offer private pay services for those without a diagnosis.

What type of Certification/License do your employees have?

Clinicians are required to hold an active BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Certification and Behavior Technicians are required to hold a RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Certification from the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board).

Is parent/caregiver training offered?

Yes. Parents involvement is crucial for any client who is participating in ABA. Recurrent parent/caregiver training is provided.

Have you made any changes on the way you provide therapy due to Covid-19?

Yes. All Initial ABA Evaluations are now being conducted via TeleHealth. We have also implemented sanitation procedures for our team members to follow before and after sessions, they are all provided with cleaning and PPE supplies to protect them and the families we serve. When appropriate, clients can also receive therapy via TeleHealth to reduce exposure.

How do I know if my insurance covers ABA therapy?

Each insurance carrier and plan is different. We will confirm with your insurance to give you a better understanding of what is covered. We will provide you with specific information regarding your benefits and eligibility.

Are you in-network with any insurance companies?

We are in-network with UnitedHealthCare, Aetna, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShiled and Magellan.

We also have a contract with Texas Workforce Commission to provide ABA therapy to adolescents and adults in the Autism Spectrum Disorder to help them transition to a work-life.
